Stephanie! What you're growing here is so special. Honored to get to share event a small part of it! Plus (surprisingly) I think it's the first time my newsletter has included the words "turd sandwich". Landmark. Truly, though, I am so happy this is out in the world. Grow on, friend.
Brad and Stephanie! This is amazing. I feel like reading this and knowing The Good Soil Collective exists in the world is like receiving a precious gift. My very sincere thank you for sharing this so we might all grow together!
"Why had I felt guilty for not thriving when many of my basic needs hadn't been met?"
There's a version of self-development work that skips straight to the blooming and never asks about the soil. I've done it, pushed through and called it resilience, without ever asking whether the environment was actually the problem. Betty just stood there the whole time being slow and apparently fine about it. The plant funeral script is something I'm going to be thinking about for a while.
Thanks Brad for sharing my story and the work of The Good Soil Collective!

I love this so much! Thank you both. 💕🙏🏽💕
Thanks for being here, Grace!
What a wonderful conversation, thanks for sharing it.
Sarah, thanks so much! Stephanie is the real deal. Hope your week is a great one!
Love all of this! Thank you!
You know a thing or two about planting and growing and tending and all the things!

This was so cute! I wrote my college essay about nearly the same topic!! I love my 50 million emotional support plants too :)
I have been inspired to move my aloe Vera plant to another location. Thank you for these beautiful reflections!
