Well, this is just too much. Teary-eyed at your kind and steady encouragement. Truly. It means more than I can say. And -- YES -- patience has been the theme of the season for us personally!!! There's an episode of Zip and the Tiny Sprouts called "The Tippy Top" in which Zip attempts to climb to the top of the Wonder Tree. I get misty everytime that little acorn makes it to the top. Reminds me of all the wonderful things and the view that's possible with patience, persistence, and good community around you.
My friend. YES. I felt so silly when working on the art for the book because it's very playful. There's little dancing mice and giraffes with top hats and, yet, I kept getting emotional because it's a book about grace and the power of forgiveness. Was hoping that could shine through. To know that it's finding the people who need it is everything. I love you so much, Justin. Thank you for being you.
No 'masculine' aversion to dancing mice or top-hatted giraffes can hold a candle to the beauty and power of grace. I suspect there will be much laughter and not a few tears in that prison. May it be a Matthew 25:36 moment.
