Jacob Souva - author and illustrator of books for kids. I’m enthusiastic about making stories that spark ⚡️… I have my own Substack that is high up on the list of unexpected joys. Appreciate you and your work and words!
Hi Brad! I’m Sarai, a great enthusiast of sewing (my business teaches this amazing skill), knitting, and other fiber arts as well as cooking, plants, and hiking. I live in the Oregon countryside, and believe very strongly in cultivating joy. I have my own Substack too, which is also a joy in my life.
I'm Amelia - I'm an enthusiast of lime green, fast walking, the internet, and silly outfits. I'm trying to find better ways of introducing myself than my job. Thank you, Brad <3
I am Minaz, an incurable optimist on a mission to spread love through my work as an architect, an educator and a writer. My newsletter Spread Love, Only Love is a part of this mission :)
I love your work Brad, and the magic it creates for anyone who encounters it :)
I’m Sherri, I’m passionate about wildflowers and birds, gardening and butterflies, dabbling in watercolor nature journaling, retired elementary school teacher who found the most joy while teaching watching the wonder on my students faces as we explored nature together: raising butterflies and tadpoles in the classroom as a joyful way to approach learning. Love the quotes you shared in this post!
Hello Brad, Emily here, I’ve been here for a little while, since I discovered I was a hopepunk and joy rebel through your writing. Thank you. The world needs us hopepunks.
"Joy is not meant to be a crumb" Yes!! I love that. Those tiny joys are seeds if we look at them closely. Meant to be scattered and to take root and create more joy. I always look forward to your emails, Brad.
I am Amber, long time fan of Brad and his work. I am an enthusiast of growth, learning, teaching kids about life and feelings, and hope. I am so grateful for this community and the creativity sparked here!!! 💜
--"Joy is a matter of health. Joy is a matter of productivity. Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God." All of these are true for me. I enjoyed getting to know you. I've been reading your posts for some months now, but was never introduced to you. What a great idea and this whole post is so good. What about me you ask? I share on Substack whatever comes into my little corner of the world, which right now is a lot about learning about the flowers in my garden, but it changes throughout the year and always surprise me. My theme has become to "share the little things that bring me joy," so that goes along with your joy post! I love sharing my photography. We'll start camping and traveling and hiking soon and I'll share that, but there is so much more that hits life if I just keep my eyes open.
Brad!! Great words and the encouragement needed today! Would you ever turn the “Less Childish, More Childlike” graphic into a poster/sticker? I think it’s a great motto to live by!
I'm Alexis - saw Brad at a STORY conference and was blown away. Have been following you ever since. I work as a creative in the Corporate world of communications which can be fun and challenging to bring a different way of thinking to businesses. BUT it can also be soul sucking and your newsletter, your words, books - bring joy and wonder back. Thank you for all you do and share.
