Thanks so much Kate! Totally agree. There's so much I could learn and experience more just by being open to fun and letting that communicate more than I could with words! Sending a big burst of gratitude your way today!

This is wonderful advice, thank you for what you do for others.

Bringing some joy and community helps everyone understand they are part of this great world and they belong here with everyone. I have had the great opportunity to be in a one street town and see how a couple soccer balls bring everyone out to join in and enjoy their day.

So grateful for you and these kind words. The scene you describe with soccer balls and one street town absolutey nails it! Experienced something similar once in France. Witnessed my young brother-in-law become instant pals with some children because of playing with a homemade soccer ball in the street. They didn't speak the same words, but did speak the universal code of friendship and play!

Beautiful post! I totally relate to the words thing, being a self-proclaimed Word Nerd. Finding new ways to spread joy and connection is going to be a new mission of mine.

Brad! This is so amazing. I love this: “There’s something special about time spent together laughing, no matter the language or setting. Delight, it seems, truly is universal. “

It’s so true and so important. Thank you for the reminder. 🩷

Thank you Brad. Reading your words gives me courage. Just going into the office yesterday needed bravery for me, to connect with my new team in a new job. It’s good to be reminded that we are more alike than we are unalike 🤍

Edward Hopper said that "If you could say it in words there would be no reason to paint". There are countless forms of art that can stretch beyond the limitations of our language, that can pick us up and carry us on when our words fall short and fail. But, joy is the finest art I know.

Thnaks so much for this!

Hey Brad this is the best fun read I've had in weeks. Took me back to the days I did big events in a truck full of 80 percussion instruments, for kids to jam with. At the last UK Tour de France I had 150 kids all over them. Show one kid a rhythm, another an overlap. Get three or four going and they start to show each other.... Fantastic.... Music is language.

But then I went green, sold the truck bought a trike. Last month had a bunch of old folks drawing crazy coloured letters. Currently card mounting them for an exhibition. Will post the results on my stack. Old folks have relearned to think like kids.... Fantastic...... Art is a language. Peace, Maurice
